Level A2 - Course Overview

Complete French Mastery A2 — Elementary French Course

Who the A2 Course Is For

A2 — Advanced Beginner | Approximately CLB 3–4

For learners ready to communicate in simple, familiar situations and build stronger beginner French. An official CLB-equivalent 4 result in all four abilities may provide up to 24 core CRS points when French is selected as the first official language, but provides no second-language CRS points at this stage.

At CLB 4, IRCC awards six points per ability when the language is selected as the applicant’s first official language, producing 24 points across reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Second-official-language points begin at CLB 5.

Note: CLB/NCLC references are approximate educational comparisons. Immigration eligibility and scoring depend on official test results, individual circumstances and current government rules. Consult official government information or a licensed professional.
